Nimbus Mechanical

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026 Last updated: July 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tech & Investments LLC, a Virginia limited liability company doing business as "Nimbus Mechanical" ("Nimbus," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit nimbusmech.com, enroll in a membership, or receive our services. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.

1 Information we collect

Information you give us

Information we collect automatically

Information from third parties

2 How we use your information

3 How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as described below.

Service providers who help us operate

We use trusted third parties to run our business. They may access personal information only to perform services for us, under obligations of confidentiality. These currently include:

Our service technicians

The technician(s) performing your services receive the information needed to do so — including your address, relevant property and system details, and, where you provided them, access codes limited and time-bound to the scheduled visit.

Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nimbus, our customers, or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy).

4 Payment information

Payments are collected and processed directly by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. Your full card number is handled by Stripe, not stored on Nimbus systems. We receive limited transaction information (for example, a confirmation, the card's last four digits, and billing status) to manage your membership and billing.

5 How we handle property access credentials

If you choose to give us entry codes, lockbox codes, or garage/gate codes so we can perform scheduled visits, we treat that information as sensitive. We store it using encryption, limit access to the technician assigned to your visit, and time-bound that access to the scheduled service window. Where possible, we recommend you provide a temporary or single-use code that you can change after the visit. You may ask us to delete stored access codes at any time by emailing hello@nimbusmech.com.

6 Marketing emails and your choices

We do not send marketing or promotional emails at this time. If we introduce marketing communications in the future, we will do so consistent with applicable law, you will be able to opt out at any time (through an unsubscribe link in any such email or by emailing hello@nimbusmech.com), and we will update this Policy before beginning any marketing program.

We may still send you transactional messages — such as scheduling confirmations, service reminders, billing notices, and renewal reminders — which are part of providing your membership and are not marketing.

7 Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for the purposes described in this Policy. In general, we retain your membership and contact information for the duration of your membership and for a reasonable period afterward; we retain billing and transaction records for up to seven (7) years to meet tax, accounting, and legal-recordkeeping obligations; and we keep marketing contact information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When we no longer need personal information, we delete or de-identify it. Stored access codes (Section 5) are deleted or rotated promptly after the relevant service window and are not retained long-term.

8 Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption of sensitive fields such as access codes and access controls that limit who can view your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

9 Your privacy rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@nimbusmech.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be retained where the law allows or requires it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We will honor these rights as required by the laws that apply to you.

10 Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11 Third-party links and services

Our website and services may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, Stripe for payments or the app of a smart-home device you have us install). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. We encourage you to review them.

12 Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through our website. Your continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
